Project rules

By joining CSMIX servers or the csmix.net website, you accept these rules and agree to follow them.

The rules apply to every player without exception - regardless of gender, nationality, religion or status on the project.

Not knowing the rules doesn't free you from responsibility.

The owner of a Steam account is responsible for everything done from that account.

Sharing your account with other people is forbidden. If someone else used your account, the account still gets the punishment.

Admins can also punish a violation that isn't on the list if it clearly stops others from playing. Such cases are handled by analogy with similar rules.

We may change the rules. We announce changes on the website; the new version applies from the moment it's published.

Punishments, their reasons and durations are visible in the player's profile on the website, in the “Punishments” tab.

Your nickname, Steam avatar, collection names and weapon name tags must not be insulting, discriminatory or obscene.

An admin may ask you to change your nickname or avatar. If the request is ignored, the player is banned until they change it.

Links, names and addresses of other servers, websites and shops, as well as referral codes, are forbidden in nicknames.

Impersonating admins is forbidden: nicknames resembling admin nicknames, tags like ADMIN or CSMIX STAFF, and the same texts in chat and on weapon name tags.

Empty and invisible nicknames, as well as nicknames copying another player's nickname, are forbidden.

Insulting players, their family and loved ones is forbidden.

Discrimination is forbidden: insults based on nationality, race, religion, gender or orientation.

This is the most serious communication violation - the punishment is longer right away than for a regular insult.

Spam and flooding in chat and voice, loud noises, music and voice changers are forbidden.

Provocation, trolling and toxic behavior are forbidden.

If someone provokes you, don't respond in kind - send a report instead. Aggression in response is punished too.

Advertising other servers, websites, services and channels is forbidden.

Political campaigning and stirring up conflicts between players are forbidden.

Begging is forbidden: asking players or admins for skins, money or privileges.

Threats and calls for violence are forbidden.

Sharing other people's personal data is forbidden: real name, address, phone number, photos, social media accounts.

This gets a ban, not a mute: it threatens the person's safety.

Dead players and spectators are forbidden from telling teammates the enemy's positions and actions.

Deliberately hindering your own team is forbidden: shooting or throwing grenades at teammates, blocking passages, throwing rounds on purpose.

Accidental team damage isn't a violation. Deliberate and repeated actions are punished.

Making deals with opponents and playing against your own team is forbidden.

Using map and game bugs that give an advantage is forbidden: getting into textures, shooting through walls via map errors, going outside the map.

Don't stay AFK for long: the server frees up the slot for people who want to play. Players inactive for a long time are moved to spectators or disconnected by the server.

Boosting stats and XP is forbidden: playing for another person, arranged kills, playing from several of your own accounts.

On top of the ban, boosted stats are reset.

Abusing reports and server commands is forbidden: mass-sending false reports, urging others to report without a reason.

Any cheats and programs that give an advantage are forbidden: aim, wallhack, triggerbot, radar and the like.

The punishment is a permanent ban. Cheats are also detected by the server's automatic anti-cheat.

Macros and scripts that perform actions for the player are forbidden: AHK scripts, automatic shooting, recoil control, bunny hopping.

Third-party skin changers and any programs that inject into the game are forbidden.

On CSMIX servers all skins, knives and gloves are already free - pick them in the skin changer on the website. Third-party programs can also get you a VAC ban from Valve.

Evading a punishment with another Steam account is forbidden.

The second account gets the same punishment, and the duration on the first one starts over.

If you see a violation, report the player through the server menu or write to [email protected]: nickname or profile link, server, time and what happened.

Demos, screenshots and videos speed up the decision.

If you think a punishment is a mistake, write to [email protected] within 6 months: your SteamID, which punishment and why you disagree.

Your appeal is reviewed by a person, if possible not the one who issued the punishment. The reply usually comes within 14 days. If the punishment was a mistake, it's removed and your profile shows the status “Lifted”.

Arguing with admins during the game is forbidden: discuss the decision through an appeal, not in the server chat.

Admins follow the same rules as all players and are punished more strictly for violations.

A punishment is issued only for breaking the rules, with a clear reason and a duration from the durations table.

Using admin rights for personal purposes is forbidden: punishing someone for arguing with you, giving an advantage to yourself or friends.

Issuing or removing punishments for money, skins or at the request of friends is forbidden.

Admins are polite to players and explain their decisions.
